Many thanks for the wonderful music you provided us when you DJ'd this past weekend (May 1, 2004) at the 1st Alternative Prom held at the University of Illinois at Springfield (Studio Theatre). A few months ago, none of us knew whether the project could even get off the ground, let alone survive all the red tape and expenses. But with the help of people like you, we are now well on our way to a successful first in Springfield! We estimate that at least 58 young people attended the Prom, and we only expect the numbers to grow each year. I'll be sure to tell next year's Prom committee to keep your name in mind for a DJ. Kim P.S. Best of everything to you in the future! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Good Morning! WOW!!!! I hope each of you that had a chance to attend yesterdays picnic enjoyed themselves. I believe the entire event was very successful. I know that Mr. Carlson and our entire Management Staff enjoyed bring this to you. As you all know, over the past few weeks we have completed a very successful JCAHO Survey and for the second year in a row been awarded the J.D. Power and Associates Award for "Providing an Outstanding Patient Experience". Neither of these two accomplishments could have occurred without each and ever one of you and your efforts to work together to provide excellent service to our patients and their families. As most of you know, our overall theme for the picnic this year was "Teamwork" featuring the Olympics as a guide. Making this a success was not an accident. The many individuals that came together to form the team that put together the theme, the decorations, games and Karaoke worked well together to make that all a huge success. A very special "Thanks" to these individuals listed below - their creativity and dedication to the overall success of this event made it a very Special and Fun Filled day. They are: Tracie Sayre Teri Baldini Amy Yeates Lori Bobell Jean Campbell Lorie Carroll Khalfani Coleman (KC) Mark Krieger Kathy Maxey Mary Vogt At the same time, we should not forget the many individuals that took time out of there day to assist with the ticket taking, serving and drinks - without their assistance and willingness to give of their time the event would not have functioned. Coordinating all the workers for me was Casey Carroll, the SPD Secretary - "Thanks Casey" as well as Bob Strothmann, Assistant Supervisor in SPD who handled many of the little details that popped up during the day. For all the "Teams" that participated in the events - "Thanks" for being good sports, for coming together as a team and giving us a chance to laugh with you as you competed. As for all of you that "braved the stage" and sang for us all - it was a real treat to view your talents. A special "Thanks" to John Owens, the owner of "The Fun Factory Music DJ Service who donated the equipment- I know we all appreciated the use of his equipment and time. Last but not least, I believe Shaw's Catering from Decatur, Ill. again did an outstanding job in providing us all with a delicious meal. They are easy to work with and very dedicated to ensuring that the meal they serve is the best it can be. Thanks, and I hope you all had a fun filled and enjoyable day - I know I did!!!
